We would like to bring your attention to a two-year postdoctoral opening in theoretical nuclear physics at the INFN Section of Milan, Italy, with an expected starting date in 2027.
The position will focus on the development of advanced ab initio nuclear many-body methods, with particular emphasis on nuclear response functions, charge-exchange excitations, and double-beta decay. The research program includes the development of novel approaches combining Algebraic Diagrammatic Construction (ADC) techniques with particle-vibration coupling, aiming at improved microscopic descriptions of nuclear excitations and, ultimately, neutrinoless double-beta decay matrix elements.
The successful candidate will join the nuclear theory group in Milan, with opportunities to participate in our broader research activities, pursue independent scientific interests, and develop new collaborations.
We welcome applications from talented and motivated researchers with a background in nuclear many-body theory, ab initio methods, or related areas of theoretical physics.
