The fellow will be hosted by the partner institution, Argonne National Laboratory. The successful candidate will conduct independent and/or collaborative research on theoretical nuclear structure, reactions, astrophysics, and/or fundamental symmetries relevant to the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB). The FRIB Theory Alliance is a consortium of universities and national laboratories actively engaged in theoretical research in FRIB science. FRIB is a national user facility for nuclear science, funded by the DOE Office of Science and operated by Michigan State University.   The FRIB Theory Fellow is a one-year appointment with the possibility of annual renewal for a maximum of five years. We had a great experience last year, thanks to all of you who participated. We want to repeat it this year and make it even better. You can check out the talks from past edition on Indico: https://indico.global/event/16284/overview We are writing you to ask for your participation in this event. In this way, students will know about possibilities to work or to do a PhD in your institution. The time for each speaker will be around 15-20 min (unless you ask for more time). Kentucky, Los Alamos National Laboratory, U. Minnesota, U. of New Hampshire, North Carolina State U., Northwestern U., Notre Dame U., Ohio U., Pennsylvania State U., U. Washington, and U. Wisconsin. N3AS research focuses on theoretical issues in multi-messenger astrophysics.
