 Dear Associate Partners of the Master Erasmus Mundus in Nuclear Physics,

We are organizing the "NucPhys Career Orientation Day 2026".  The date of the event is October 16, 2026.

We had a great experience last year, thanks to all of you who participated. We want to repeat it this year and make it even better. You can check out the talks from past edition on Indico:

We are writing you to ask for your participation in this event. In this way, students will know about possibilities to work or to do a PhD in your institution. The time for each speaker will be around 15-20 min (unless you ask for more time). So, each speaker does not need to attend the whole event (unless they want to) but only the time for their talk and following questions.

The contribution from your research center is very valuable. Please, reply to this email by October 31, we need to know if a representative of your Research Center can participate it.

A quick reminder of the spirit and details of this activity:

    • The idea: A representative from each partner University / Associate Center explains the research lines in their institution (topics related to nuclear physics).

    • Why do we do this? To give students more information about nuclear physics groups, possible Master's thesis topics, PhD opportunities, and potential career paths.

    • Who is it for? The main target is the students in our joint Master's program, but we could open it to a broader audience. For example, here in Seville, we are thinking about students of the Spanish Master in Nuclear Physics, as well as final-year Bachelor in Physics students (hoping to inspire them to choose our Master or a career in the field). Feel free to share the event with anyone you think might be interested.

    • Who is involved? ALL partner universities, and the participation from Associate Centers is also highly welcome.

    • Hybrid format: Most speakers and students who are not in Seville at the time will join online. Students in Seville will attend in person (there will be breakfasts and coffee breaks).

    • Duration: One full day. Around 20 minutes per representative (flexible upon request).

    • Timing: October 16. October is the best time: second-year students can use this info to choose their Master's thesis with better criteria, there are usually no exams, and students are generally more optimistic and motivated at the start of the academic year.
