               Dear colleagues,

The Collaborative research center "Hadrons and Nuclei as Discovery Tools" opens applications for several PhD Fellowships for outstanding graduates starting in October of 2024 (please, see the attached document or visit our webpage for more information). The selected fellows will get a working contract as well as individual travel and research funds. They can participate in all CRC activities, including lecture courses, seminars, retreats, summer schools, workshops and social events.

If you know of potential candidates, we would appreciate the forwarding of the attached announcement.

Please find the Zoom link below.   Title : Quantum simulations of collective neutrino oscillations   Abstract :   During a core-collapse supernova explosion, most of the energy released is carried away by the emitting neutrinos. To understand the dynamics of this explosion, we have to treat the neutrino transport in completion. However, the extreme conditions inside the supernova core allow neutrinos not only to frequently interact with matter but also with each other, which makes it a highly non-linear many-body problem with 10^58 neutrinos.
