26 de abril de 2023   Premio Giambiagi a la mejor tesis de doctorado en Física Teórica CONVOCATORIA 2023 La Asociación Física Argentina anuncia que se encuentra abierta la convocatoria al Premio J. J. Giambiagi destinado a reconocer una labor sobresaliente en la realización y aprobación, en el país, de una tesis doctoral en física. De acuerdo al reglamento aprobado oportunamente, corresponde asignarlo este año a una tesis doctoral en física teórica aprobada durante los años calendario 2021 y 2022 . El coordinador en esta oportunidad es la Dr. Raúl Rossignoli. The poster is attached. This summer school is intended for advanced graduate students and beginning postdoctoral researchers interested in nuclear and particle astrophysics, covering theory, experiment, or observation. Title: Revealing Phase Transitions in Dense Matter with Gravitational Wave Spectroscopy of Binary Neutron Star Mergers Abstract: We use general relativistic hydrodynamics simulations of binary neutron star mergers to show that high-density deconfinement phase transitions can be probed using multimodal gravitational wave (GW) spectroscopy. We find that hadron-quark phase transitions suppress the one-armed spiral instability, and note an anti-correlation between the energy carried in the l=2, m=1 GW mode and the gap in energy density which qualitatively separates the two phases.
