ASOCIACIÓN FÍSICA ARGENTINA Candidaturas para la designación de Socias/os Honorarios CONVOCATORIA 2024   La Asociación Física Argentina  convoca a Filiales y Divisiones y a sus socios/as, a presentar propuestas de candidaturas para la incorporación de  Socias/os Honorarios de AFA . Las propuestas se recibirán  hasta el 31 de mayo , y deberán incluir lo siguiente (todos los archivos en formato pdf): -         antecedentes de la persona candidata (máximo 6 páginas), -         una justificación detallada de los motivos por los cuales se la propone (máximo 3 páginas), -         el aval de 10 (diez) socias/os activos con sus cuotas societarias al día, de acuerdo al artículo 6to inciso d) del Estatuto de AFA. Visits are for a continuous period of 6 to 9 months, when the visitor is expected "to reinforce a network of exchange and cooperation and enhance know-how as regards the use of innovative methodologies." According to the call, the Province grants the host institution a variable amount of up to 4,500.00 euros to cover the gross monthly salary paid to the visiting researcher for the duration of the actual stay in Trentino and a fixed monthly amount of 500.00 euros gross, in addition to any social security and welfare charges, as a mobility allowance. The 2024 edition of the International School of Physics "Enrico Fermi" will include the course   Nuclear Physics and Reactions from a Broad Perspective,   held in honor of the late Ricardo Broglia. The School will be hosted from June 27 to July 2 2024 by the Società Italiana di Fisica in Varenna, Italy, and it is aimed at graduate students and young postdocs.   The aim of the School is to provide the students with theoretical tools needed to interpret nuclear phenomena, as they are being revealed today by the great advances in experimental developments in the production of exotic beams, and state of the art gamma and particle spectroscopy techniques.   The deadline for the applications has been extended to April 25, 2024. The summer school target audiences are graduate students and postdocs within a few years of their Ph.D. The registration is now open, and more information is available at https://indico.frib.msu.edu/event/75/ .
